Thanks for taking me to the circus - you made me laugh. We made me uncomfortable, too. I guess the lesson is that it's all just one big circus, and we are the audience waiting for the bucket.
Just when I think you can't possibly top your previous chapters, you produce this masterpiece - and no, that is not exaggeration. Imagine the current occupant of the Oval Office becoming, for however brief a time, a genuine human being. Impressive!
That's incredibly generous, thank you. Though I'd push back gently on one thing,he didn't become a human being in that ring. He always was one. A vain, damaged, incurious one who has done tremendous harm. But human. That's what makes the whole thing so infuriating to write.
