Wow, I didn’t think I would get such a great response on the first few days of the book being out!! Thank you to all of you that have brought a book!! If you can please make a comment on the Amazon site. I’m shocked we have done so well!!
Thank you for this! I need the Kindle version. My NE father gave me a lot of life direction, but he also handed me, inadvertently, his macular degeneration. Mine is under control thanks to medical advancements; he, a great reader, went blind. Kindle is now the way I need to read for the contrast. Not sure why printers went to grayed type, but it gives the visually challenged major fits. It's not type size but clarity. So I bought that version. It has already arrived - instant gratification is a wonderful sensation - and I will dive in soon. Much obliged.
I would very much like to purchase your book as I have enjoyed your stories on substack. However, I will not buy through Amazon for the simple reason that I will not put any money into a company that treats it's employees and the people of this country as dupes who Bezos believes need him. He is everything wrong in our country.
If you have another way for me to purchase your book I would gladly do so.
I loathe everything about BEZOS & Amazon & canceled my Prime membership 3 years ago. I will definitely ask my local library to order it for me and others living in my own rural town in Northern Lake County, Illinois.
I bought it before I finished the post, in paperback so you might get something for it. Your voice is welcome to take up free rent in my brain. I enjoy your work and am happy to have a physical copy to enjoy... Best of luck my friend!

I appreciate your stories which I see as observations, true or created, and love the moments of clarity you have…most vividly, your watching Patricia standing at the sink as her health crisis slowly grows and realizing both your lives are about to change.

I canceled my prime membership 5 years ago and Bezos behavior has only shown me what a good decision that was! Nice to hear others feel the same way.

+I was told by an author friend that Kindle or any ebook does return royalties. That was a few years ago, so I hope it's still true.
